GENERAL FEATURES MODEL GCP84
- The GCP84 multifunctional gas control according to EN126. Typical applications are: space heaters, fireplaces and storage water heaters
- The pilotstat is designed in an easy to use ergonomic single hand operation including an integrated piezo igniter
- Separate temperature setting knob and gas knob
Options
- GCP84 multifunctional gas control is rated for gas "N.G" and "L.P.G"
- Main valve function to model GCP84 :
- Shut-off and low to high (GCP84/31)
- Low to high (GCP84/32/S)
- Low to high modulation (GCP84/33)
- GCP84 controls with a side outlet have an additional knob to control the Flame height of the second burner. Turn the knob according to the printing on the cover. (fireplace special) fig.1
- In case of customers request the 2nd safety system ECO in various temperature range for cutting off control valve could be presented.
- In case of temperature increase in gas appliance, thermostat ECO will cut off the thermocouple voltage by an INTERRUPTER and eventually the electric current of magnet will be cutff and the control valve will shutoff. (Fig.2)
KNIDS MODEL GCP84
- Shut –off and low to high modulation(model GCP84/30)
- Shut-off and high (model GCP84/31)
- Low to high (model GCP84/32/S)
- Low to high modulation(model GCP84/33)
SMART TEMPERATURE CONTROL(thermostatic)
- thermostatic is consist of 2 sections (BULB)and BELLOWS that the liquid inside the bulb wil be expanded with increase of room temperature and it will increase the length of bellowsthis increase of mechanical movement will adjust the gas valve spindle for controlling room temperature and it will automatically adjust the gas debi.(fig.3)
- Decrease of fuel consumption and conserving gas consumption .
- Tis system in addition to being economical will be conserving waste of energy.
- The benefit of these control valves compare to manual control valves is it,s easy use and its
- Constant heat for end users.
The operating knob in off position.
The thermo – electric flame failure device is closed.
Turn knob slightly left towards the ignition position until reaching stop, press down and hold
For five seconds (only pilot gas flows).
Continue pressing down the knob while turning further left to activate piezo, continue to hold
Down for 10 seconds after pilot burner has been lit(lowfire position).if pilot dose not light,
Steps 1and2 can be repeated immediately.
Upon lighting, release knob and turn further left to high fire position . pilot gas flows and main
gas flows in accordance to the temperature setting (temperature knob).
Turn knob toward higher numbers to increase and toward lower numbers to decrease
Temperature.
- install the control properly so gas will flow as indicated by the arrow on the casting.
- pilot gas connection pressure may by applied only to areas 1 to 4 (fig.5).the maximum allowed torque for main gas cones-tions is 35NM
- the GCP84 has an electrical thermocouple connection .which must be kept clean and dry.Do not expose the thermocouple to joint compound . to assure a good electrical connection ,tighten only 1/4turn beyond finger tight. Avoid severe bending of the thermocouple tubimg during installation (min.25mm radius) as this may cause it to kink?
- When placing the ignition cable ,care should be taken not to stretch in too tightly.if possible ,avoid contact with the heater,s metal parts , especially those with sharp edges.
- -The temperature sensing element (bulb)should be placed in a location representative of room temperature .when placing the capillary tube avoid severe bending (min25mm radius)as this may cause it to kink?
- -Chenk for gas leaks with the main burner in the ON position.paint all pipe connections with a strong soap and water solution(or other accepted leak tester) and check for bubbles .if a leak is found in any connection ,reconnect the joint and repeat the leakage test. Never use a gas appliance if leakage is detected.
WARNING:
-Installation and adjustments are to be made only by qualified service personnel.
